I
belong to a fabulous writers' group called The
Write Sisters. Diane,
Barbara, Kathy,
Sally, Janet, Muriel
and I get
together at least once each month. We love to write for children. In fact, we
love to write so much that amongst us all, we've published hundreds of books,
poems, and magazine stories. Thousands of children have read our stuff! How cool
is that?
When
The Write Sisters get together, we talk about the books we are reading and the
books we are writing. Sometimes we argue (in a good way, of course) about the
books we are reading and the books we are writing. We always, always, always
laugh a lot.
Right
now, The Write Sisters are promoting our first book written as a
team. It's called Women
of Granite: 25 New Hampshire Women You Should Know. We have each written a few chapters for the book. Some of the women
in our book left
their marks long ago, when New Hampshire was a young state. Some of the women
are still making their marks. All of the women are remarkable. Kind of like the
women in The Write Sisters!
You
can see The Write Sisters in the picture at the top of the page. Going
from left to right are Diane, Barbara, me, Kathy, Sally, Janet and Muriel.
The four-legged girls on the far right are Sally's cows.
